Electric Chair Prop pictures

And here are the pictures of my electric chair prop. I still need to finish the room and the props that go along with it. I also need to do some work on the dummies body to fill it out a bit.

Halloween Tombstones Prop pictures

O.K, here are the pictures I Promised, as you can see the middle sized one has not been painted yet, I'm going to try for a marble look on that one. Please remember these were my first attempts at building a tombstone.

Halloween Haunt and props The Electric Chair

Wow, I've been so busy and have definatly neglected the Blog. I've turned the yard and outside part of the house into a haunted nightmare every year so i have most of what I need for that already and have a pretty good idea how I'm going to set it up, so i've spent the majority of my time planning and preping for the haunted house in the garage. The Electric Chair room is almost complete and as soon as it is done I'll post pictures. I've got the motorized part working and all thats left is to adjust the linkage a bit. I've got the sound, shaking and strobe light all working together. I have the body in place but still need to work a little on filling the body out a little. I've still gopt a bit of work to do on the set, but I have pretty much everything I'm going to need, I just have to find more time in the day. I'm debating if I should paint the walls black.

I'm also having a real hard time focusing on one room and tent to jump from one idea and one room to another.
I have decided the general theme for my haunted garage will be "Clowns Gone Bad"
When visitors first enter there will be a small room with an antique doctor-dentist chair reclined with a body being worked on by a clown doctor. And yes I've started woking on this room, but I'll talk more abount this room and post pictures after I finish the electric chair room.
There will be two additional rooms and a spider infested hallway also but we'll get into that later.

I've also made a few large size tombstones. In the past I've purchesed all my tombstones but for the size i wanted to add this year I either couldn't find them or the ran 300.00 plus for each tombstone. I'll post some picturesof them. I pretty happy with the way they turned out, but the next batch will be much better and more professional. These were done more as a test and to get some practice. The best part is each one cost a from 3.00 to 22.00.

Oh yae, I'm also have all the parts and am in the process of putting together a 55 gal. drum of toxic waste that will have a disfigured clown pop out and another drum that will have a clown turning side to side.

Amazing Halloween assortment

I spent hours searching the net and bookmarking sites that have some awesome props and Ideas. Today I'm going to sort through them and find the deals I really want, afterwards I'll post some links for ya. I'm going to spend the afternoon working on my Electric Chair as this will be one of the main room in my haunted house. I'm going to have a dummy in the chair and hopefully when I turn it on the dummy will shake violently as a strobe light flashes, amplified electric sounds play and fog appears. This will be my first motorized prop ever so it will be interesting.
On problem I seem to be heaving is finding someone that can make or sell me coffins at a reasonable price. If anyone knows someone please pass the info along.

Halloween Frights

As you'll soon see I'm a Halloween fanatic. I just love everything about Halloween, It's kind of scary but I think it may be my favorite holiday of the year.
I've always decorated the yard with a ton of stuff and usually have three or four helpers come over on Halloween night in costume to help give the trick or treaters a fright!
Each year we get more and more visitors as word gets out and we expand and have bigger and better decorations.
Well this year I intend to turn my garage into a small haunted house as well as decorate the outside of the house and yard.
What I'll try and do here is explain what I want to do and what I actually end up doing. You'll be able to follow my progress from now until Halloween. I'll also try and list the better deals I find for purchasing props or products to make your own. What I have found is there is such a HUGE difference in prices out there. I do most of my shopping on-line so you'll be able to get the same deals I do.
I'd really love it if you would share any thoughts or ideas that can help me or others visiting. If you know of a great prop somewhere let us know, just have an idea, I'd love to hear it
